Lifting Each Other Up

November 14, 2012

“In a relationship each person should support the other; they should lift each other up.” ~ Taylor Swift

How often do we think about our words before we say them? A bright and cheerful comment from someone, even a stranger, does so much to make me smile when I hear it – so I know others must react the same way when I express myself to them in a positive way. Here in the south, it’s not uncommon for a stranger or neighbor just passing by to wish you a good day … one of the small things Anna and I love about living where we do :) But think about this in relationships too (since we’re all about the lovey-dovey stuff).

Taylor said it right above – for a relationship to work each person has to support and lift each other up equally. It takes more than just kisses and little flirts to make a relationship last into the future (though those are equally important, too!). It takes dedication to each other, and each partner in the relationship has to think more highly of the other than they do even about themselves.

And, since every post is made better with a photo .. here’s a little peek at what we’re working on today! And, since we’re talking about Taylor as well, doesn’t the lovely Christine bear a striking resemblance?

So speak encouraging words to one another. Build up hope so you’ll all be together in this, no one left out, no one left behind.
