We were absolutely awed by the amount of votes that came in for our Photo of the Year contest this year – y’all have some loyal fans and friends! Our of several hundred votes cast, our fans selected their favorite photos of 2011 in each of the categories we posted photos from. The buzz that was created online, especially through the the feverish Facebook voting attracted votes and fans from as far away as Italy, El Salvador, Brazil, the United Kingdom, and Canada who stopped by and commented and interacted with your Photo of the Year entries as well :)

“Seduction” – Romance. Chivalry. Passion. This beautiful, vintage themed proposal with Laura and Zach did a clean sweep in our Love Stories Category … gathering the most votes for any one photo! We love the sultriness that this photo exudes, and the chemistry that Laura & Zach obviously have together :) Congrats you two!

“Light” – this glowing photo from our Love Story inspired shoot brings to life the enchanted moment when a bride is realizing that this is it … her big day. And she’s positively in love about it.

“Ferris Wheel Kiss” – The end of summer. Young love. A sultry kiss on a fair ride in the dark. All of these things make our heart beat a little bit faster when we see the sparks flying between Tori and Trent in this photo. You can almost feel these two lovers hearts beating…

“You’re the One for Me” – A quirky, glamping trip in the woods (that’s short for glamourous camping by the way!). A tent made of bedsheets. Two lovers who are happy to just be together. The perfect two. The look in Jin and Amanda’s face says it all. They complete each other …

“Closer” – The bright fall leaves inspired this shoot, filled with oranges, blues, plaids, and a beautiful fall leaf headpiece and floral bridal bouquet. It’s called Falling in Love. Everything about it made us happy, and obviously our fans fell in love with it too!

“Light and Air” – It’s a hot summer day. The breeze blows the sheer curtains back and forth while a blade from the antique fan makes a repeated ticking noise as it hits an uneven spot on the cage. It’s the middle of summer, but beauty makes a statement even in the sizzling heat. We were thinking Anthropologie for this shoot, and Allie proved she has what it takes to take vintage couture to the next level … her fans obviously thought so to!

“So High, Fashion” – Leather. Lace. Fur. Our goal was to make Sydney look like she was the cover girl for a Guess editorial lookbook … hold the phone. New York just called and wants their model back!

“Softness” – Another beautiful frame from Sydney’s shoot .. the light loves her face in this photo, and the colors among the sea of soft greenery stand with a soft brilliance …

“Summer Breezes” – I’m pretty sure that just around the corner, a quiet breeze is blowing a rowboat to shore … the sun is high in the sky, but the air through the humidity cools everything down enough to make it a fine summer day in the south. The essence of summer is captured perfectly in this photo with Jacqueline, and I’m pretty sure I can smell some magnolia blossoms …

“Baby Princess” – Every girl wants to be a princess. Some want diamonds and a crown, and others are happy with pearls and a tutu. Emma was definitely happy to be wearing this vintage headpiece designed by Petals by KC, and this smiling baby captured the hearts of a huge number of our fans as well!

“Schroeder” – Whether it’s frustration at the keys or passion for the song, we fell in love with the cuteness exuded in this photo from our little niece, Emma. It reminded us of Schroeder from Peanuts, and how he would bend his head over his piano while pounding away on a song. The fans loved it too …
