They grew up at opposite ends of the east coast. Nichole was born and raised in Florida, while Steve spent his childhood in Rhode Island. Meeting while they were both in college at the University of South Florida was no accident however … and after a group trip together took them both to the Dominican Republic they quickly realized they were falling in love. A few years later, they decided to move in between their two families and settled on North Carolina (excellent choice you two, by the way! ;-)
Now, Nichole is not one for surprises, so Steve had his work cut out for him with figuring out how to propose to Nichole and still surprise her. She manages to figure out most of his surprises, so it was no easy task .. but last Christmas while on their first Christmas together visiting family in Rhode Island, he was able to surprise her by asking her to marry him, at the edge of the ocean in Newport while they stopped to take some pictures. Smooth, man. :)
And, of course she said yes.
Since Nichole & Steve both met while they were at USF, they wanted to do their engagement photos on a college campus. Nichole chose the campus at UNC-Chapel Hill because of the beautiful scenery and stately architecture there, and the results were enchanting.
Wow .. how amazing are these two? Seriously guys – you rocked this out like models. Nichole, you look positively stunning!
Nichole and Steve’s idea of a nice date is just staying home and ordering in, happy to just be with each other. How comfortable and happy they are with each other really shows in the pics … they are so cute together!
