Jem's venture into photography began when her brother Jeremy purchased his first DSLR camera. Whenever he wasn't using it, she would take it outside and photograph her younger siblings, the family pet, nature, and more. It wasn't long before her natural talent was noticed, as well as her sharp eye for still life and macro photography.

Jem accompanies us as a second shooter on some photo sessions, and also assists with lighting set up. She also takes some of our behind the scenes photos and video footage.

Children adore Jem, which is good, since she babysits full-time! She also enjoys drawing, jewelry-making, reading, and listening to music. She and Anna have sung together for weddings, concerts, and other events, and Jem is an occasional background vocalist for Dry Land Tourist.
