These days, we’re obsessed with digital photos and the many places they can be shared to. The digital age has given us awesome tools like Facebook, Pinterest, and Wedding Gawker that make planning and sharing easy and fun! Putting digital media out to a large audience on the internet is an effective tool for photographers to market themselves, but it’s not an end product for the client.
One of the reasons why we offer a wedding album with all of our wedding packages, is because we feel so strongly about the value of printed material. A boutique album or some large canvases are a much better place for your photos than a hard drive, y’all! You don’t look at the photos on your computer every day, right? But a photo that you walk past in your house gets to be enjoyed daily, and people who come to visit you also can see and enjoy it.
And, like the graphic above points out – technology changes. In a few years, those CDs or hard drives that you have photos sitting around on aren’t going to connect to your computer anymore .. and you’ll wish you had some printed ones to be able to show to your friends or kids. The investment now is so worth it when you can cuddle up on the couch and page through those albums together later … and an LCD screen can never compare to the feeling of turning pages :)
